Christmas time!

My last session is edited...my house now has a few winter decorations sprinkled in it, Christmas cookies are baked, a few of the gifts are wrapped, my Christmas cards are sent ...yes these all seem like important Christmas things, but really they are nothing in the scheme of things.  I enjoy Christmas and all those things, but really  I LOVE and appreciate CHRIST and what He did for me.  I anticipate the JOY of  HEAVEN soemday (and being with my sweet babies I never was able to enjoy long on Earth). I want to bask in the PEACE the PRINCE OF PEACE wants to bestow on my heart.  May these be the essence of your Christmas!
Because every photographer MUST have  Christmas pics...
here are ours.

and the back...

I was trying to decide how this might go, especially with Erik...my BUSY 1 1/2 year old.  What would entertain him...what treats do my children like... my conclusion- COTTON CANDY.  I'll tell you a little secret- you know girls are supposed to be the ones with the sweet tooth???? well, MR. Hubby is crazy about cotton candy and has passed that along to my boys. (I won't tell you who's nuts about chocolate though. Wink, Wink! )

I couldn't resist another canvas, so the following image is setting on my basement mantel as a canvas.

Christmas blessings to each of you! And amidst all the crazy hub bub of Christmas, stop and focus on why we celebrate this time of year...JESUS!

Babies again!

Just a little memo about baby pictures.
If you are interested in having me do newborn photography for you there are several things that I would like
to let you know.
1. It is very helpful if you call several weeks or months BEFORE the baby is born to give me a heads up.  That way I have an idea to keep slots around that time available.  It makes
it a lot less stressful for me.
2. If you don't get me called before, PLEASE call as soon after as possible.  I like to take the pictures around a week old.  If we wait till they are older, they do not settle and surprisingly have developed a mind of their own and what they like. : )  It will save you and me a lot of frustration and rocking and trying to calm baby down if we do them early.

Now here are a few cuddly bundles- I've enjoyed this fall/winter so far.

Meet Vanessa...so sweet...so cooperative...a delight to use my camera with.

Meet Emily...The pictures tell the story...Yes, she yawned and yawned again...but
things were just too interesting to fall asleep.  We tried time and again with no success,
till finally!  YAY!! We got THE picture.  So worth the wait...

Kenton & Krystal

In exchange for burgers and fries...I took Kenton's pictures.  Yes, we are good friends.  If we're not at home at 10:00 at night- being at their house is a good guess.  Their oldest is close our son's age, making them
great playmates.

Thanks for being faithful friends!  You're great...and the conversation is ALWAYS good!

Matt & Dorothy

What a sweet family!  I had so much fun doing their pictures and couldn't wait to post some, but I knew that they were Christmas pics, so...I patiently waited.  The girls are the most darling little things...must get their good looks from mom and dad! : )  Here's to an adorable family...

She was so CUTE...you could just tell she adored her daddy...

And she and her mom shared a bond only mother and daughter do...

And here is the other sweetheart...a bundle of energy...but so lovable.

God bless your family as you serve Him wherever He leads!
Thanks for the pleasure of photgraphing this time in your lives.

John

Yes, John, my kindergartner ..my personality match. It's so interesting when you have someone who is so much like you and you watch how they respond to things...and then you realize how you come across to others.   I enjoy him so much. He's my Mr. social bug, my Mr. "mom I wanna take a picture", my Mr. "I wanna give a gift to..."  Life revolves around people for him and if he's not socializing and something along that line He's bored.  I love him from the top of his head to the tips of his toes! : )
Here's John

I pray that God will always watch over you and that He will lead you to great things as you grow!
Love,
Your Mom

Jeffrey & Jennifer

Here's to a bride and groom and pics I wanted to post a LONG time ago, but just never got the chance.  It was a beautiful day...warm sunshine pouring in.  I promise you she had such amazing detail in her wedding...especially the delicious food!  I'll let the pictures tell the story. : )

And I must not forget to post their favorite. : )

God bless your marriage each and every day, Jeffrey and Jennifer!
